Science center


Yesterday (Monday June 8) my class went to Regina on a school bus to see the science center. When we got there we went to a room on the lower level and did a cool project. We had to grab a pale of water that the employee got from a pond and investigate. We took drops of the water with an eyedropper and put them in a pea tree dish and looked at the stuff in the water (grass, bugs, etc) under a stereoscope. I found a side swimmer a leach some eggs, mosquito larva and a wandering pond snail. After that we split up in to groups and were able to look all around the science center. I went to an exhibit that was about you’re heart you put you’re hands on the two hand places and it beats a drum the same rate as you’re heart. did you know that the heart rate increases by eight to ten beats per minute if you’re immune system is fighting infection.

On Friday our class and the other grade fives went to a park by our school to take pictures. We had to take pictures of:

1. Trees
2. Birds
3. A flower that is not a dandelion
4. People
5. Something interesting.

While we were about to leave a train came by so we took pictures here are some of mine:

Today we had a presentation on anti bulling from Jordan, Chevy and Hope. It had some tips for the bully, target, and the bystander. It was very educating and I learned lots of stuff.

GRANDMA’S OLD BARN




When I walk into the barn I take in a big gasp of the cool air. The animals start moving because they know that I have brought there food. The doors flap lightly and make cooing noises when the wind comes through .the warm sun feels nice on my skin coming through the dirty cracked windows .the barn is a quiet place that is why they are the best.

i don't no what to right but i have to right something so i just written what i could think of so there ha ha ha you lose! ya me!

next weekend

yay! I cant wait tell next weekend because im going to winnipeg to visit friends and family.I have so many people to visit im going to be all over the place.

the Mae Wilson/Who is Miss Wilson

Today we went to the Mae Wilson Theater. I thought that the presentation was very fun. I didn’t now that Mickey and Mont (the guides) were going to be dressed as clowns.
I liked it because it was interesting .we learned lots of stuff and it was my first time to the Mae Wilson.
My favorite part of the tour was when we got to the box office because Mickey (the guy guide)was dressed as an old lady and when Mont(the girl guide) was like yelling at him and saying “Mickey!!!” he would argue and say “no dear its Matilda”.

I learned that the Mae Wilson was built in 1913.

earth day

Earth Day was last wed. (April 22). It was also my birthday!!!!! In my school we took part by going outside and picking up as much garbage as we could.

mr.park

Mr. Park
Mr. Park is a teacher from Chaplin. He is a soldier fighting in Afghanistan. He is in the reserves so he doesn’t have to fight if he doesn’t want to. He came to our class room and us stuff about Afghanistan’s. I enjoyed his presentation because it was very interesting and it was kool to know what was going on.

Number one star is an activity that we do once a week to show the nice things that we have to say about each and every student in our class. We have a list of everyone in the class and a board that we put up a name, and then we have peaces of paper that we right on then post on the board. At the end of the week we say what we have put on our paper out loud to the class, once we have read out what we have to say the number one star shares a couple of things she/he likes. We do it to make them feel good about them selves.

weekends

On the weekend im going to be a loner because all of my friends have something to do. Today im going swimming with some people. Then im going to play with my brother’s .and that’s my boring weekend.

To be a good writer you should have a good imagination. You should have good word choice and someone look it over to see if its readable .Sentences should be creative and make the reader want to read on. The sentences should flow and not be scattered and all over the place .you’re voice should come through with you’re writing.

recess

Recess today was ok .First recess I was singing narwals with loren,second recess I sat on the bleachers with loren,cortni,laura and casia.Last recess we just had and nothing really happened.So ya that was recess yup nothing really.

In science we are learning about natural resources .here are some ways you can help save the world:

1. Don’t wash you’re car in the drive way (chemicals can go into the sewer).
2. Don’t use you’re car as much(we don’t have that much oil).
3. Dispose of batteries properly.
4. use less power (on march 27 at 8:00 turn all power off for one hour).
5. use earth friendly products(safeway,walmart,superstore,Costco)

You can tell spring is coming when you see the rabbits and gophers coming out of there holes. everywhere you step there will be puddles of water .I love spring ! !

why lindale rocks

The people are very nice (ha ha, im not mentioning the boys in this one).
I like the school colors green and yellow.
There are lots of fun dances and occasions plus there are so many days off.
When I first came everyone was so nice (Bailie, Shannon, Jenna, Carley, Emily, Raelynne, Desiree.)
I love it here.
